November 23rd Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on November 23rd between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.  Parents, please book a 10 minute time slot on Parent Portal between these times.  Booking will open on November 15th, Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.  If, for some reason, the time slots are completely booked or you cannot make this evening work, please contact your child’s teacher for an alternative phone conference. 2023 Giving Projects – November 13th-23rd

Southwood School will be participating in the following giving projects: The first is a toy drive which is for all students Kindergarten – Grade Four.  We are  collecting new, unwrapped toys for children newborn to 17 years old (no toy guns please). Our second project is a food drive to help fill Christmas hampers. We have decided to divide the items and ask each grade level to collect specific items. Terry Fox School Run – Friday, Sept. 22/23

Southwood is proud to take part in this year’s Terry Fox School Run.  Please help us to continue the legacy of one of Canada’s greatest heroes. Kindergarten Staggered Entrance

Please note that our kindergarten students begin the year with a staggered entrance.  You will have received an email notification from the school with information about which day your child should come to school. After your child’s staggered entrance day, their first regular (non-staggered entrance) day of classes for kindergarten will be as follows: ALL K1V, K3G, K5G Students – Tuesday, September 12th ALL K2F, K4G Students – Wednesday, September 13th

No Shopping for School Supplies for the Fall!

School fees are as follows for the 2023/2024 school year: $55 for our Kindergarten to Grades 3 students $65 for our Grade 4 students These fees cover all of their regular school supplies and activity fees for the year.

Meet the Teacher 2023

Our meet the teacher event will happen Tuesday, September 5th! Please drop by the school between 4:30 and 6:00pm to meet your teacher.  You will also have the opportunity during that time to pay any outstanding school fees that you may have.
