During the month of April, classes will work together on their collaboration skills to design and create one of a kind outfits that use recycled, reused or re-purposed items. On Monday, May 6th (Global Day of Design) at 2 pm, classes will be modeling their masterpieces during our Recycled Fashion Show with Special Guest Corny Rempel!
Please join us on Thursday, March 21st from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate what students have been learning. This year our theme is “Celebrating Our Stories” and students have been learning about another culture as well as working on their citizenship skills. At Southwood School we focus on literacy every month. On February 6th, our school will be participating in Global School Play Day 2019 (GSPD.) This is a day where students will participate in various forms of play throughout the day. During the month of January, classes will work together on their collaboration skills to create a sculpture or structure using snow! Classes will be taking pictures of their creations and we will celebrate their designs at the Feb. 8th Assembly.
