2024 Learning Expo – Thursday March 21st

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students will be performing a short concert in the gym for all their parents at 5:30pm.

Grades 1-4

Our Grade 1-4 students will be showcasing this term’s work in their classrooms, selecting work that fits into one of our Southwood characteristics of CARE.LEARN.GROW.

Parents will be invited to attend with their child to visit their classroom during a 30 minute time slot to learn from the student and teacher about what they have been working on these past few months.

Appointment bookings for Grade 1-4 students should be done on Parent Portal between March 12th and March 20th. Should you have any questions about booking on the Parent Portal, please contact our office by phone at 204-326-3518, or email southwood@hsd.ca.

Phys Ed activities will be taking place in the Makerspace – featuring Jump Rope for Heart as our students get ready for this event. Feel free to drop in.

Music activities will be in the Music Room for our Grade 3/4 split classes & 4 classes during their assigned slot as follows:

4N – 4:30

4JP – 5:00

4H – 5:30

3/4D – 6:00

3/4BP & 3/4KP – 6:30

Please note: There will only be 1 presentation by your students at their assigned time to allow other classes to also have time slots to share their musical learning. The music room will NOT be open for drop ins during the Learning Expo this year.
