We would like to welcome “Leo” the Leopard Gecko to Southwood School!
As you may have heard, we have a new school pet that moved in this week. Early in the week each class was asked to vote on which kind of gecko we would get (out a choice of three) and the results were almost unanimous in favour of the leopard gecko. Classes then submitted their choice of name for our gecko and his name, Leo, was announced by Mr. Kehler at the assembly on Friday afternoon. Leo is now happily adjusting to his new home in the Learning Commons and the students have all been very excited to learn about Leopard Geckos and to have the chance to “meet” him.
