From October 4-17th the students of Southwood School collected non-perishable food items for the FCC Drive Away Hunger campaign.  All food collected was given to the South East Helping Hands to be distributed to families in need in our community.  On the day the food was picked up, Mrs Healey’s grade four class got to work bringing all the food to the Learning Commons where they weighed each bag and recorded the weight to be tallied up.  They then took the food back to the foyer and formed a line passing the items from student to student to help load the truck.  Southwood School collected 609.45 lbs for the FCC campaign this year!
