The December newsletter is available HERE for your information. This month’s issue includes important seasonal information about items like our Christmas concert, our giving project, and information concerning appropriate attire for the colder weather. As well, you will find information about the work that’s happening in our Makerspace, and an article from our Guidance Counselors about dealing with anxiety. Please read to stay informed. You are invited to contact the school if you have any questions.
November was the month for our first Maker Challenge! With inspiration from “Rosie Revere: Engineer”, the students designed and built a paper helicopter! Captain Southwood made an appearance at our last assembly to test the top designs from each class in each grade. A trophy was awarded to the class from each grade with the best-floating helicopter! We’re excited about December’s “decoration” challenge!
On Friday, October 28th, Southwood students toured the school to show off their special Autumn costumes! There were many clever, creative, and amazing outfits worn by the students. As well, the staff at Southwood put on their best superhero costumes!
